BBLR-ZDA - Angola-Zambia Oil Pipeline (AZOP)

Angola-Zambia Refined Petroleum Multi-Product (AZOP) project will cover 1,400 kilometers from the Port City of Lobito, to Lusaka in Zambia. AZOP pipeline system will not involve middlemen but designed to deliver finished products including petrol, low sulphur diesel, Jet fuel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for Zambia, and Katanga Province in Congo Democratic Republic.
AZOP project will reduce the relative pump pricing in Zambia and the regional target market, while further enhancing the quality of life by agitating for migration from the use of charcoal to the use of LPG, in most domestic homes.
The core objective of constructing the pipeline is to produce a minimum of 200,000 barrels per day (bpd) of which Zambia will be benefiting 100,000 bpd.
