Elia - Modular Offshore Grid
The Modular Offshore Grid (MOG) comprises of an offshore platform about 45 kilometers (km) off the shore in Belgian North Sea waters, Zeebrugge area, in water depths between 30 and 35 meters (m), to which four planned projects Rentel, Northwester 2, Mermaid and Seastar will be connected. Three 220-kilovolt (kV) submarine cables will link the plug to the Stevin onshore substation near Zeebrugge. The MOG will initially be built for 1.05-gigawatt (GW) capacity.
