WDEPC - Damanhur Combined Cycle Power Plant

The West Delta Electricity Production Company (WDEPC) is planning to construct and operate a new combined cycle power plant. An Egyptian joint-stock company and part of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), WDEPC will address the issue of current shortfalls in the electricity supply in the Alexandria Region and Egypt overall.

The new power station will be built on vacant land, which is part of the existing Damanhur Power Plant, in the Zaweyat Ghazal suburb of the town of Damanhur. The new power plant will consist of two units that will generate a capacity of 900 MW each, providing a total new capacity of 1800MW.
