Kalamkas-Khazar Operating - Kalamkas-Sea and Khazar Joint Development

The Kalamkas-Sea - is an offshore oil field, located in shallow water in the North Caspian Sea, 150 kilometers northwest of the Buzachi peninsula, Arytau region.

The oilfield began exploration and development in 1979 and was discovered on September 3, 2002. The offshore Kalamas-Sea field has a total of 104 million tons of general reserves of hydrocarbons with 41 million tons recoverable and 13 productive deposits with over 510 million tons of oil reserves. The geological reserves of the field are estimated from 160 million tons of oil up to 1 billion tons.

The Khazar field is located in the water area of the Caspian Sea in the contract area of the offshore section of Pearls block.

The total recoverable reserves of these two fields are 67 million tons of oil and 9 billion cubic meters of gas. The joint development can stimulate the development of new stages and development of deposits in the Middle Caspian.
