Kemya Elastomer Plant - Carbon Black Plant

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) and ExxonMobil Chemical Company have created a joint venture to build a carbon black plant at the Jubail elastomer plant complex. Feedstock for the plant will be provided by the Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry. Upon completion, the plant will be responsible for domestic supply of more than 400,000 tonnes per year (tpy) of rubber, thermoplastic specialty polymers (EPDM/TPE, TPO, Butyl, SBR/PBR) and carbon black to serve emerging local and international markets in Asia and the Middle East.
