Saudi Aramco - Marjan Field Expansion - Package 7 - Onshore Water Supply Facilities
Part of the Marjan Oilfield Expansion, Saudi Aramco plans to develop Package 7 called the Onshore Water Supply Facilities (OWSF) Project. This involves the development of Jaladi field water extraction facilities from the Wassia aquifer, HV and MV substations to feed the Jaladi Field and the Zuluf Field water injection transportation pipeline to Tanajib Oil Plant (TOP). The purpose of this project is to supply the required water injection flowrate for reservoir pressure maintenance.
Saudi Aramco plans to develop its gas-driven fields such as Marjan offshore field. Marjan oil field delivers a high volume of associated gas and the new oil capacity will replace in time declines in oil capacity from other fields elsewhere.
Marjan is estimated to have the capacity to produce about 500,000 b/d of crude based on existing production facilities.
