SLNG - Jurong Island LNG Terminal - Phase 3 - Fourth LNG Storage Tank
The Jurong Island LNG Terminal Phase 3 project will add a fourth liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank and more regasification facilities to existing LNG terminal, located in Jurong Island. The work is to further expand the terminal's send-out capacity from 6 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) to 11 Mtpa.
The fourth storage tank is being considered to lower storage costs and hold cargoes from a 266,000 cubic-meter (m3) Q-Max LNG ship. It also can either be the same size as what we have now, at 180,000 m3, or a 260,000 m3 tank, which is one of the largest tanks in the world.
