EDF - Pacific - Sojitz - Kyushu Electric Power - Son My 1 Combined Cycle Power Plant
Vietnam Prime Minister has issued decision 428 QD-TTG which approved the national power development plan with visions extended until 2020. This is expected to boost the competitive environment in a way to attract investment in thermal, water, wind, and other sustainable power from various sources in Vietnam.
Previously designed to be a coal power plant, "Son My" is planned to be divided into two, Son My I & Son My II. Both are going to be a combined cycle power plant situated in Binh Thuan.
