Pertamina - Balikpapan Refinery Upgrade (RDMP RU 5) - Phase 2 - Modified Residue Desulfurization and Sulphur Plant
The state-owned oil and gas corporation, Pertamina aims to boost the quality of fuels produced from the Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan. Phase 2 of the Balikpapan refinery upgrade involves the product improvement stage, in which the refinery is to be modified to produce fuels compliant with Euro 4 specifications for sulphur standards. The project is targeted for completion in 2024.
